Alorica Certifications and Compliance
As a leading call center services provider, Alorica is proud to meet and exceed the quality benchmarks established by our industry. In addition to being certified by several national standards organizations, we have created and implemented internal best practices that govern each and every transaction. Alorica’s diligent focus on quality and compliance not only underscores our commitment to delivering outstanding service; it gives our clients peace of mind in knowing that their customers are in good hands.
Below are more details regarding Alorica’s industry certifications and compliance practices.
Payment Card Industry (PCI) Certification
The Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) is awarded to companies that have met a rigorous set of requirements pertaining to customer credit card data security. While all providers that capture, process, or store credit card data must be compliant with PCI standards, companies that receive PCI-DSS certification have demonstrated proof that they have adopted robust and consistent data security measures across numerous applications.
SAS 70, Type II
The Statement on Auditing Standard (SAS) 70 is a widely recognized auditing standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). For service providers that process transactions involving customer financial data, the regular issuance of a Type II auditor report under SAS No. 70 provides assurance to current and prospective clients that effective Information Technology data security controls and safeguards are in place.
HIPAA Compliance
HIPAA, which stands for the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996, establishes national standards for organizations that process transactions involving consumer health-related information. Companies that are HIPAA-compliant have implemented physical, administrative and technical safeguards designed to ensure confidentiality, privacy and integrity of consumer data.
Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) / Supplier Diversity
At Alorica, we understand that maintaining supplier diversity is critically important to many of our clients, for a variety of reasons. Our commitment to meeting your diversity requirements is reflected in multiple aspects of our business operations.
What is a Minority Business Enterprise (“MBE”)?
A program developed by the federal government in response to the 1960s civil rights movement
An American term reserved for enterprises physically located in the United States or trust territories
MBEs are 51% owned, managed, operated and controlled by an ethnic minority or a group of ethnic minorities on a day-to-day basis
What is MBE Certification and Why is It Important?
MBE certification confirms that a business is owned and managed by minority individuals or women. Local and national agencies administer in-depth reviews of all aspects of the business to ensure that it meets their criteria. It gives a supplier diversity program credibility through standardized practices and it allows firms to partner, gaining access to resources to which most MBEs do not have. Certification provides access to educational programs, technical assistance, financial assistance and support.
Regular Internal Reviews
Alorica has established a management committee that routinely conducts vulnerability assessments and in-depth reviews of Alorica IT and security policies. This practice allows us to continually identify areas for improvement and make refinements to our business processes.
